Renting property with air-con system in Hong Kong
We suggest that when leasing an apartment or house to tenant to check when was the last time the air con was serviced and cleaned.
If the answer is that it was cleaned within last 6 months then that is okay but longer than that you should have the air con be cleaned and serviced either before tenant moving in.
The reasons for this suggestion are:
- The health and well being of the tenant.
- The life and operation of the air con.
- The lower energy used and costs for the tenant.
