Air conditioning - Outdoor unit - Hong Kong
We usually clean our air con - indoor unit once every year (before the summer start or at the end of the year). But how often do we need to clean the outdoor unit? Usually the outdoor unit do not need to clean, but in some situation you should check or cleaning that,
- if you use it all the time (such as the air con in lobby, wine room air con & restaurant) > lot of dust
- if you live near the sea > salty air might damage/stay on the outdoor coil
- if your house near high way > lot of dust fm traffic
The picture above shows the conditioner in one of the lobby in Sheung Wan, because they need to switch on the air con 24 hours to keep the lobby in the right temperature. So the air con outdoor unit are full of dust after one year. In this case, we suggest our customer to clean the outdoor unit while we clean the air con.
